WASHINGTON — The Washington Redskins have signed defensive end Kendall Reyes, the former UConn star, as their first free agent addition of the off-season.
Reyes, 26, hasn't missed a game over his four-year NFL career with the San Diego Chargers, who picked him in the second round of the 2012 draft. Reyes has 126 tackles, 13 1 / 2 sacks and an interception.
Last season the 6-foot-4, 300-pound ex-Husky had 32 tackles and two sacks. The move could give the Redskins three players with Connecticut ties on the defensive line as Reyes would join Windsor's Terrance Knighton and Chris Baker.
