In another dismal loss, the Huskies did get some encouraging play from an unexpected source, in an unexpected area.
UConn's big men combined for 49 rebounds, including 18 on the offensive boards, a plus-21 for the game. Rebounding has long been a struggle for the Huskies, but seniors Amida Brimah, who had a career-high 15, and Kentan Facey are becoming a strength.
"I was proud of Amida's effort, and Kentan," coach Kevin Ollie said. "Those seniors are playing hard. And Juwan Durham gave me a bright spot."
