Steve Emt's journey to the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games began 22 winters ago when his pickup truck skidded off the highway and flipped at least five times.
Thrown out the back window, Emt was left paralyzed from the waist down. A varsity basketball player at Army who became a walk-on at UConn for Jim Calhoun during the years of the Marshalls and Kevin Ollie, Emt would not walk again.
