Courtel Jenkins Transferring From Miami To UConn

The UConn football team has added a player to its defensive line for the 2018 season in Courtel Jenkins, who will transfer from Miami and play his final season of eligibility with the Huskies. Per NCAA transfer rules, Jenkins, of Jersey City, N.J., must sit out the 2017 season.

Jenkins, 6 feet 2 and 320 pounds, was up-and-down at Miami, posting 11 tackles as a junior, 29 as a sophomore and 14 as a freshman. He was dismissed from the program in February for an unspecified violation of team rules.
