Old Dominion Set To Rebuild Offense Around 17-Year Old QB

Old Dominion has a bye this week so let the makeover begin.

The Monarchs are set to rebuild and revamp its offense, which is led by a freshman, and not just any freshman.

Steven Williams is believed to be the second-youngest player to start a game at the major college (FBS) level. The left-handed spinner from Washington, D.C., is just 17 and was under center last week when ODU lost 38-0 to then-No.13 Virginia Tech and one of the best defenses in the country, in Blacksburg, Va.

"We're going to build around what he's most comfortable with and most comfortable doing," ODU coach Bobby Wilder said. "He's got a very strong arm, he's athletic, he's intelligent....
