Local College Football Roundup: Central, Sacred Heart Fall

The Central Connecticut football team finished the 2016 season with a 52-19 loss to Duquesne at New Britain on Saturday.

Central sophomore quarterback Jacob Dolegala threw for 291 yards, giving him a total of 2,934 yards on the season, extending his school record. He completed 20 of 39 passes for two touchdowns, to Mike Petersen for 29 yards and Joey Fields for 25 yards, both in the second quarter. His yardage total is the second best single-season yardage total in Northeast Conference history.
