The UConn women's basketball team added another player for the 2017-18 season.
Forward Batouly Camara, a transfer from Kentucky, is joining the Huskies. The school made the official announcement Tuesday evening.
Camara, a 6-foot-2 forward, averaged 5.1 points and 4.3 rebounds as a freshman, when she started the final 13 games for the Wildcats. Per NCAA transfer rules, Camara will sit out this season and will have three seasons of eligibility when she begins playing in 2017.
This is the second significant transfer joining the Huskies. Forward Azura Stevens, an All-ACC selection as a sophomore at Duke, announced last month she was transferring to UConn.
