Heading into the fourth quarter with a 15-point deficit Saturday afternoon, with her team slipping around in the mud of what became one of the truly strange games in her storied career, George Washington coach Jen Rizzotti gave players one simple instruction: dig in.
"Sometimes when things aren't going your way, you have to make them go your way," Rizzotti said.
And so the Colonials did. GW scored 15 points in the fourth quarter, held UMass scoreless in the period and eventually pulled out a wild 60-54 double-overtime victory at the Mullins Center.
