Regional Digest: NESCAC Football Moves To 9-Game Schedule

NESCAC Football MovesTo 9-Game Schedule

The NESCAC will implement round-robin scheduling in football beginning this season. Teams will play nine games. The NESCAC had played one scrimmage and eight games. It will eliminate the scrimmage, which allows the 10 schools to play each other once in the regular season. The change also means fewer live contact practices as teams prepare for a game rather than a scrimmage since the NESCAC does not allow live tackling during practice once the season starts. Trinity opens at home Sept. 16 vs. Colby and ends the season Nov. 11 at home vs. Wesleyan. Wesleyan opens Sept. 16 at Middlebury. ... Guard KeAndre Fair, the 2015 Courant boys...
