When Cane Broome left the Cincinnati campus Friday afternoon, he knew he would return. Broome spent Saturday and Sunday visiting Creighton in Omaha, Neb., but his transfer decision had basically been made.
"I tried to keep an open mind," Broome said. "But I couldn't."
Broome was that impressed with Cincinnati, coach Mick Cronin and the direction of the Bearcats' program. Shortly after landing in Connecticut after his Creighton visit, around 1 a.m. Monday, Broome texted Cronin to accept a scholarship offer.
