Willy Yahn's grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning broke open what had been a one-run game as UConn went on to rout Cincinnati 12-3 Tuesday in the American Athletic Conference baseball tournament.
The UConn bullpen retired the last 14 Cincinnati batters in order at Spectrum Field.
UConn (32-23) advances in the winners' bracket and will face No. 2-seeded Houston on Thursday at 3 p.m. Cincinnati (28-29) will face Memphis in an elimination game Wednesday at 9 a.m.
