    Blast tops Lancers, 25-23, in MASL regular-season finale
    The Blast held off the host Rochester Lancers, 25-23, in a back-and-forth regular-season finale Sunday. The Lancers scored just 33 seconds into the game, setting the tone for a Major Arena Soccer League match full of goals. The Blast (18-2) led 4-2 at the end of the first quarter and 12-11 at halftime, but trailed 17-16 entering the final quarter. After Pat Healey gave the Blast a 19-17 lead with a power-play goal, Juan Pereria extended the margin with another score. The Lancers answered with three straight goals, giving them a 23-21 lead. Again, the Blast responded, with Vini Dantas tying the game before leading scorer Lucas Roque scored his fifth goal of the game and eventual game-winner. Phil SaundersThe Blast will return home on March 11 for its playoff opener, in which it will face either the Lancers or Syracuse Silver Knights.
