    Wheeler Baker scored 14 points, Sam Rowley added 12 and Albany cruised to a 69-55 win over visiting UMBC on Sunday. Rowley went 4-for-4 from the field and hit all four of his free throws. Dallas Ennema and Ray Sanders added 11 points apiece as the Great Danes (12-7, 7-0 America East Conference) extended their winning streak to seven. Albany broke away with an 11-0 burst capped by Baker's 3-pointer midway through the first half to make it 14-4 and carried a 35-22 advantage into the break. Early in the second half, Greig Stire's bucket stretched the Great Danes' lead to 39-28, and the margin never fell below double figures again. Retrievers junior forward Cody Joyce led all scorers with 16 points. Freshman guard Malcolm Brent added 12 for UMBC (3-17, 1-6), and senior guard Wayne Sparrow (St. Frances) had 10. UMBC was 12-for-14 from the free-throw line and shot 43.9 percent from the field. Albany finished shooting 46.9 percent overall.
