Cutting down on penalties a priority for 'Canes, Golden talks d-line and more

As the Hurricanes move closer to their season opener, coach Al Golden stressed – again—Tuesday some of the areas he wants to make sure his team improves on this upcoming year. Among some issues on the top of his list were better performance on third down and in the red zone, a better turnover margin and cutting down on penalties. And while Golden says the Hurricanes have focused on all of those issues in training camp, the penalties were especially bothersome last season.
