UNCASVILLE – As game plans go, the Connecticut Sun figured they had a fairly solid one prepared for Saturday's game at Mohegan Sun Arena against the Washington Mystics.
The Mystics came to casino prepared to play their third game in four nights, fresh from a 30-point home loss on Friday to Los Angeles, hours after an early-morning wake-up call and flight on Saturday to Connecticut.
The Sun felt they had an upside that shouldn't have been too hard to take advantage of.
But it didn't work out the way they planned during an 84-76 overtime loss to Washington in their home opener.
