Basketball took Kelly Schumacher-Raimon all over the world, from WNBA jobs in Indiana, New York, Phoenix and Detroit to professional gigs in Europe and Asia.
Volleyball also sent her around the globe as a member of the U.S. national team while providing a career in Miami as she spent day after day on the beach.
But as she moved into her late 30s, Schumacher-Raimon began to ponder another career. Her mind wandered back to basketball and back to the people who left such a lasting impact. Like so many who played under Geno Auriemma and Chris Dailey, Schumacher-Raimon decided to follow a coaching path.
So as the WNBA season begins, she is embarking on a new vocation....
