Ryan Gomes Lifts Short-Handed Top Dog To Pro-Am Semifinals

HARTFORD — Coming into Saturday's playoff game, Top Dog Entertainment was missing three of its best players. Somebody was going to have to step up. That player happened to be former Boston Celtic and eight-year NBA player Ryan Gomes. Gomes scored 35 points, and thanks to his and-one layup with 33 seconds left, No.2 Top Dog was able to escape Saturday with a 107-98 victory over No. 7 Cambyland in the Elite 8 of the Greater Hartford Pro-Am at the Sport & Medical Sciences Academy.
