Former UConn guard Rodney Purvis has signed a contract to play with the Orlando Magic.
The deal was announced Monday by the team and leaves the Magic with 20 players. It is expected Purvis will be assigned to the Magic’s G-League (formerly the D-League) team in Lakeland, Fla.
Purvis, 23, went undrafted after completing his college career and earning his degree at UConn. After playing with the Utah Jazz in the NBA summer league, Purvis signed a “partially” guaranteed contract with the Magic in August.
