NBA suspends O.J. Mayo one game for punching Greg Stiemsma in throat

Milwaukee Bucks guard O.J. Mayo, a star in his one-and-done season for USC, has been suspended one game by the NBA for punching New Orleans Pelicans center Greg Stiemsma in the throat on Friday. Rod Thorn, president of basketball operations for the NBA, said in an official statement that Mayo "has been suspended one game without pay for forcibly striking" Stiemsma.
