It has been a busy six months since we last saw the four-time defending national champion UConn Huskies.
Breanna Stewart moved easily from Storrs to Seattle, excelling in the WNBA just as she did in college. Morgan Tuck and Moriah Jefferson also took their games to the WNBA and Geno Auriemma guided Stewart and the U.S. national team to a gold medal at the Rio Olympics just before the next generation of UConn players reported to Storrs for a new season.
That began with the first official practice Wednesday. On Friday, though, fans will get a glimpse of the new faces at the annual First Night at Gampel Pavilion.
