Kelsey Griffin Returns To The Connecticut Sun

When Kelsey Griffin originally joined the Connecticut Sun in 2010, an affable but scrappy rookie forward from Nebraska, she immediately connected with former coach Mike Thibault and soon became a fan favorite at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

But after five seasons in the WNBA, Griffin left to play professional basketball in Australia where she gained citizenship and made a new home for herself.

But on Wednesday, a busy day of transactions for the Sun, Griffin returned to the team. Connecticut announced that Griffin and veteran guard Betnijah Laney agreed to training camp contracts and that guard Leticia Romero has signed her rookie contract.
