White Sox ruin John Danks' second straight solid start in 3-2 setback

A little time off for the All-Star break evidently did John Danks some good. It apparently did not for most of the rest of the White Sox. Danks pitched 62/3 shutout innings Wednesday night — his second straight scoreless outing of the second half — but the Sox spoiled his night with a 3-2 loss to the Cardinals at U.S. Cellular Field. It was the Sox's fourth straight loss and sixth in their last seven games. Yadier Molina knocked a bases-loaded triple to the right-field corner off Sox closer David Robertson with two outs in the eighth inning for the Cardinals lead.
