Price strikes out 11 in dominant debut as Jays beat Twins, 5-1

TORONTO Blue Jays fans were ecstatic about saying hello to David Price on Monday. The Twins are just as happy to say goodbye. The former Cy Young winning left-hander received his first standing ovation from a rowdy Rogers Centre sellout crowd for doing nothing more than walking to the bullpen to warm up, and he earned an even bigger one when he walked off after eight dominating innings. Price struck out 11 in his Blue Jays debut, and pulled Toronto into a virtual tie with the Twins for the final AL wild-card spot by leading a 5-1 matinee victory.
