As one crew laid down the infield grass at Dunkin' Donuts Park for the Hartford Yard Goats last week, another professional baseball ground crew was hard at work 12 miles away, also tending to a new infield.

That was at New Britain Stadium, for the Bees, the independent Atlantic League team whose season started Thursday in the same venue occupied by the Yard Goats until last year, under the Rock Cats name.
