Cards, Wacha blank Rockies, 7-0

ST. LOUIS A lively sixth-inning offensive rally propelled the St. Louis Cardinals to a 7-0 victory for their second consecutive home win against the Colorado Rockies. The Cardinals posted five runs in the sixth off five hits. With two men in scoring position and one out, rookie outfielder Stephen Piscotty brought home both runners with a double deep to center field to give the Cardinals a 4-0 lead. Piscotty then scored on Kolten Wong's single, and Jhonny Peralta cranked a two-run home run to give the Cardinals a 7-0 lead. The Cardinals tacked on two runs in the bottom of the first inning.
