NEW BRITAIN — Al Nelson had a decision to make on Aug. 24. Usually, there is no decision to make when the Rock Cats are playing, but the summer was running out and there was a conflict. "They were having a concert at Walnut Hill Park," said Nelson, who served in the Navy during World War II. "The Navy band was in town. What was I going to do?
