Hartford's MacKinnon Proves He Can Hit As He Looks To Go In MLB Draft

David MacKinnon wasn't expecting to be around this year. His coach and teammates thought he'd be gone, too, but the call from the majors never came.

MacKinnon was not drafted, so he's back playing first base for the University of Hartford as a senior. The 6-foot, 220-pound MacKinnon, the 2016 America East player of the year and the first at the school since soon-to-be-inducted Hall of Famer Jeff Bagwell (1989), has been on a two-month tear.
