Rock Cats Hold Off Fisher Cats

NEW BRITAIN — The Rock Cats' bats were working early as they loaded the bases with one out in the first inning in scoring three runs on the way to a 4-3 victory over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Friday night at New Britain Stadium. Fisher Cats righthander Casey Lawrence gave up those three runs on four hits in the first. Rock Cats righthander Shane Carle, who hurled a seven-inning shutout in his first start of the year against New Hampshire on April 12, gave up his first run of 2015 in the third inning.
