  • Texas Rangers - PlayerWatch

RHP Colby Lewis (7-8, 5.98 ERA) earned the victory in Texas' 3-2 win over the Yankees on Wednesday, giving up two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out four over seven innings. Lewis, who had arm and hip surgeries two years ago, has allowed three earned runs or fewer in five of his last six starts. He's 2-4 with a 6.00 ERA in his last seven starts, but that includes giving up a club-record 13 runs -- 11 earned -- in a loss to the Angels earlier this month. "As the weeks have transitioned into the second half, every time I take the mound I feel like I'm getting stronger," said Lewis, 35. "I think it was definitely an adjustment period getting used to a prosthetic hip."
