Jimmy Titus, a recent graduate of East Catholic High School, is the Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year for Connecticut.
The Manchester resident maintained a 3.92 GPA while reaching great heights in baseball.
The honor is awarded to high school athletes who display high athletic and academic achievements and exemplary personal character.
This is actually Titus' second year receiving the honor, as he was the Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year last year, as well.
"That's the first time that's happened in Connecticut, as far as I know," Titus said. "It's a pretty cool accomplishment."
