The leaves are falling off the trees. The mornings are starting to become crisp. It's fall. It's cross country season.
Betty Remigino-Knapp brought her father Lindy to his chemotherapy session Tuesday morning at St. Francis Hospital. Lindy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last fall. He goes to chemo every two weeks.
She wasn't sure if he was up to going to the Conard High School cross country meet, where his youngest grandsons, Matthew and Tyler, would be running. Lindy's wife of 64 years, June, was going. And to her surprise, Lindy said he felt good enough to go, too.
