Spring training: Giants 8, Dodgers 4
ON THE MOUND: Zack Greinke was frustrated by his lack of command, as he was charged with four runs (two earned), five hits and two walks in 3 2/3 innings. "Everything was semi-sharp, but couldn't really throw for strikes," he said. Greinke threw a spring-high 76 pitches. Because Greinke received a lubricating injection in his right elbow early in camp, this start was only his fourth of the exhibition season. That's one fewer than Clayton Kershaw, who pitched the previous day. But whereas Kershaw will scale back his pitch count in his final start of the spring, Greinke is expected to increase his. Greinke said that should be enough to prepare him for the start of the regular season. "I've thrown enough that I should be ready," he said. "If I'm not, it's not because of lack of innings, it's just I'm not getting ready fast enough. It should be good by the time the season starts."

Clayton Kershaw has rough day but Dodgers win again, 5-2, over Mariners
They’re not all going to be perfect, not during the regular season and most certainly not during spring training. Of course, all Clayton Kershaw has to do these days to live up to expectations is throw a shutout every time he takes the mound, if not...
