White Sox Game Day: Lead Red Sox 5-2

The White Sox scored five first-inning runs off Red Sox left-hander Wade Miley, and they took a 5-2 lead on Tuesday night at Fenway Park. The White Sox were trying to extend their winning streak to six games, which would tie a season high.  At the plate Melky Cabrera, Avisail Garcia, Geovany Soto and Emilio Bonifacio all drove in runs in the big first inning. On the mound White Sox right-hander Jeff Samardzija gave up a 2-run homer to Pablo Sandoval in the second inning. In the field Beckham, who hasn’t started a game at any position since July 17, makes just his second start at second base this season.
