American racecar driver Gregory Biffle was born on Dec. 23, 19969, in Vancouver, Wash. He gained national attention when he raced in the Winter Heat Series in 1995-1996. He dominated the series championship, leading former ESPN announcer and NASCAR champion Benny Parsons to recommend Biffle to Jack Roush. In 1998, he won the Rookie of the Year award. The following year, he won nine times, a single-season Truck Series record that stands of 2009. In 2000, Biffle won the Truck Series title.
