Nationals' rookie Juan Soto outshines Baby Bombers as Yankees fall, 5-4

Another rising star took over at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday night - only he didn’t play for the home team.

Juan Soto, the Nationals’ 19-year-old rookie sensation, belted a pair of homers - including a 436-foot solo shot off Chasen Shreve in the seventh inning that was the difference in Washington’s 5-4 victory over the Yankees.

Soto (19 years, 231 days) is the fifth-youngest player in the live ball era with a multi-homer game, behind only former Cub Danny Murphy, Mel Ott, Ken Griffey Jr. and Andruw Jones.
