Edgewood homeless shelter plans off table for now, councilman says

A faith-based community group in Harford County is backing away from its plans to build a homeless shelter on Route 40 in Edgewood after the proposal drew protests from dozens of people at a recent meeting. New Journey of Hope, had proposed erecting two large fabric or tent-like structures, each measuring 5,000 square feet, across the street from The Home Depot, on the site of the former Chase Manor Motel.
