Golden Kielbasa Tournament Raises $16,500 For Veterans


Organizers of the Golden Kielbasa Veterans Open reported that it raised $16,500 last month to benefit Connecticut veterans.

Guests at the tournament included then-state Veterans Affairs Commissioner Linda Schwartz, New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart and Bristol Mayor Ken Cockayne. 

Nearly 150 golfers participated on Oct. 2 in the Golden Kielbasa at the Tunxis Plantation Country Club in Farmington. It was hosted by the Disabled American Veterans' Hardware City Chapter 8 and provided aid for the House of Heroes Connecticut and Friends of Fisher House Connecticut.
