PLAINVILLE — A public reception honoring departing school Superintendent Jeffrey Kitching will take place Monday afternoon in Plainville High School.
The event will be from 3 to 6 p.m. to give people a chance to talk with Kitching, school board Chairwoman Andrea Saunders said Thursday.
His last day in the district he's led for five years will be April 15. On April 16, Maureen Brummett, the district assistant superintendent, will replace Kitching as the district's leader. A new assistant will not be hired until Brummett assumes the job.
