MADRID - A portion of "Game of Thrones'" fifth season will shoot on several natural locations in the province of Seville, Andalusia, HBO announced Wednesday.
Peter Welter Soler's Fresco Film Services will provide production services in Spain. The Andalusia Film Commission, Seville Film Office and Osuna Film Office will support the filming, which will take place later in 2014.
Exact locations will be confirmed closer to the time of production, HBO said Wednesday. That will do nothing to stem speculation about which locations will be used for what setting of "Game of Thrones."
Inclusion of the Osuna Film Office suggests HBO may - or may not - its most celebrated landmark, the Osuna University, a singular rectangular mole built in the Italian Renaissance style and topped by four cylindrical spires with blue glazed ceramic coating.
According to Spain's radio station Cadena Ser, Seville's spectacular Alcazar - a former fort and now still-used royal palace, with a Moorish courtyard, reflecting pool and sunken gardens, - will be transformed into the Water Gardens of Dorne, the private residence of the House off Martell, and a favorite place of Prince Doran Martell.
