Ben & Jerry's is adding two "Saturday Night Live"-themed ice cream flavors to its extensive repertoire, paying homage to a favorite character and skit.

Gilly's Catastrophic Crunch, a combination of chocolate and sweet cream ice creams with caramel clusters, fudge-covered almonds and marshmallow swirl, serves as a nod to the recurring character Gilly, played by Kristen Wiig.

The other new flavor, Lazy Sunday, made up of vanilla cake batter ice cream with chocolate and yellow cupcake pieces and a chocolate frosting swirl, is a reference to the "SNL" skit of the same name starring Chris Parnell and Andy Samberg.

As ice cream and "SNL" aficionados will recall, this isn't the first time Ben & Jerry's has teamed up with the NBC sketch comedy skein. The company unveiled the Schweddy Balls flavor, inspired by a skit featuring Alec Baldwin as a guest on a fake NPR show, in September 2011.

"SNL" is also rolling out several other promotions as the show gears up for its 40th season. Showrunner Lorne Michaels' Broadway Video has partnered with Saks Fifth Avenue on a product program to coincide with the fall season premiere.

The show is also set to air a three-hour live special on Feb. 15 to commemorate its 40th anniversary.
