LONDON -- Sophie Okonedo, who was Oscar nommed for "Hotel Rwanda," is set to star alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in the next series of "The Hollow Crown," the BBC's Shakespeare adaptations, according to a report Friday.
The actress will play Queen Margaret, the wife of Henry VI. Cumberbatch is the evil Richard, who kills Henry VI, and becomes Richard III, Baz Bamigboye reported in the Daily Mail.
Denzel Washington in "A Raisin in the Sun" on Broadway until June 15.
The upcoming "The Hollow Crown" series is formed of three films that are drawn from Shakespeare's Henry VI trilogy and "Richard III." The Henry VI plays will form two films.
The films will shoot from late September into early 2015. Dominic Cooke will direct all three pics. They are being produced by Neal Street Prods., which is headed by Sam Mendes, former BBC drama topper Pippa Harris, and Caro Newling.
The first series of "The Hollow Crown" -- "Richard II," "Henry IV" and "Henry V" -- starred Ben Whishaw, Jeremy Irons and Tom Hiddleston. The films won four BAFTAs.
