IFC Films has set Richard Linklater's time-lapse drama "Boyhood" for a July 11 U.S. release.
The film, starring Ellar Coltrane, Ethan Hawke, Patricia Arquette and Lorelei Linklater, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January. Linklater won the Silver Bear for Best Director at the Berlin Film Festival.
In his review, Variety's Peter Debruge said the film "challenges popular notions of dramatic development."
"Boyhod" was produced by Linklater, Cathleen Sutherland, Jonathan Sehring and John Sloss, and was fully financed by IFC Films.
