LONDON -- ITV Studios Global Entertainment has closed deals for dramas series "Rectify" and "Mr Selfridge" in France and Germany.

"Rectify," which is produced by the Sundance Channel, has been acquired by Arte in France and Germany.

The drama is already airing on Sky in Germany, after the company picked up the premiere window rights in the country, and also premiered on the Sundance Channel in France.

This follows the news that SBS in Australia has bought the series.

"Rectify" will return for a second season on Sundance Channel in the U.S. in summer 2014.

Also in Germany, the pay TV rights to ITV Studios' "Mr Selfridge" have been acquired by Sony Entertainment Television, which will air both seasons from April in the German TV premiere.

"Mr Selfridge" has been sold to more than 150 countries globally.

The second season recently premiered on ITV in the U.K. with a consolidated audience of 6.8 million viewers and a 22% share.

Tobias de Graaff, director of global television distribution for ITV Studios Global Entertainment, said: "Free and pay TV audiences are increasingly keen to watch world-class drama that unfolds over an entire series rather than an episode. 'Rectify' and 'Mr Selfridge' are finding a home with broadcast brands that are synonymous with ambitious storytelling and we are confident that they will delight viewers."

The deals were negotiated by Phil Sequeira, senior sales executive, NW EMEA for ITV Studios Global Entertainment.
