PBS Kids has ordered a second season of "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood," the animated series from the Fred Rogers Company.
"Tiger" is only the second original series to come from the Pittsburgh-based company, founded in 1971 as the non-profit producing arm of the original "Mister Rogers Neighborhood," which ran for 40 years on PBS and made Fred Rogers' cardigan sweaters one of the most iconic garments in the history of kidvid.
"Since its debut on PBS Kids in September 2012, 'Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood,' has been a great success and season-to-date it has been one of our top three shows with moms every month," said Lesli Rotenberg, PBS' g.m. of children's programming. "We look forward to continuing to give families strategies to help their kids learn and grow with more episodes, digital games and apps from this family favorite."
