A month before the start of the Sundance Film Festival, Oscilloscope Laboratories has acquired North American rights to Joe Callander's short film "Tim and Susan Have Matching Handguns."
The 95-second film will have its world premiere at Sundance as part of the short film documentary section .
Berger told Variety he's intrigued by the challenge of getting the film out to audiences.
"We'll be releasing both digitally and theatrically and want to explore new ways of bringing films to audiences," he said. "We didn't see the film being 95 seconds as a detriment, but rather something to embrace and be creative with."
"Tim and Susan" was produced by Dave Munson and Saddleback Leather. Callander is Saddleback Leather's filmmaker in residence.
