PARIS -- Frontieres Intl. Co-Production Market, a genre film forum which has held its first two editions at Montreal-set Fantasia film fest, will soon be expanding its reach to Europe, with a third order scheduled to take place in Brussels on April 10-12.
Brussels intl. fantastic fest is a co-production market dedicated to genre films aimed at connecting North America and European producers, financiers, sales agents, distributors and service production companies.
Joe Dante ("Gremlins"), Andrzej Zulaswki ("Possession"), Jorge Michel Grau ("We Are What We Are"), Jason Lapeyre ("I Declare War"), Richard Stanley ("Hardware"), Paul Campion ("The Devil's Rock"), along with well-known producers and industry execs.
Frontieres is now welcoming submissions until Dec.20 to come up with 12 projects from European countries, Canada and the U.S.. To be eligible, projects must be market premieres with a completed script and must be suitable for international co-production or co-financing with European, American and/or Canadian elements (shooting locations, casting and post-production).
Accreditations will open in Jan., while the lineup of projects that will be presented at the mart will be unveiled in early Feb.
The Brussels-based Fantasia festival is backed by Media Mundus, Visit Brussel / Brussel Film Office, Telefilm Canada and Sodec.
The 4th edition of Fantasia film fest in Montreal will take place July 24-27 and will start receiving submissions on Jan. 28.
