In its first deal at the Toronto film Festival this year, Magnolia Pictures has acquired U.S. rights to Ti West's horror-thriller "The Sacrament."

The film, which had its world premiere in Venice, follows two journalists shooting a doc about man's attempt to locate his missing sister. They find her in a rural cult preparing for a mass suicide.
