"I really do enjoy listening to what the audience sounds like -- which has been very different so far," Landesman admitted during the after-screening bash at Soho House. "They were operatic at Venice, when we got a 10-minute standing ovation, very French at Deauville and very nice in Toronto."
Paul Giamatti and Zac Efron received the most applause -- that he'd gotten married a week earlier, calling his new spouse "the wind under my wings."
For exec producer Guy East, the film evoked a specific recollection of how he discovered that John F. Kennedy had been assassinated. "I was 12 and came home and my mom was crying," he noted. "I think that happened a lot."
