As of 4 p.m. Tuesday the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is experiencing some delays and cancellations due to the weather system moving into the Southeast.

“We have a total of 39 canceled flights and 47 delays,” airport spokesman Greg Meyer said in an email update. Some delays were up to three and a half hours, he noted.

Meyer said passengers traveling to or from Port au Prince, Haiti; Atlanta, Ga.; New Orleans, La.; Houston, Texas; Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte, N.C., should check with their airlines to see if their flights are impacted.

A handful of flights arriving and departing at Palm Beach International Airport are also listed as either delayed or canceled Tuesday, according to flight status information on its website, pbia.org.

As of 3:45 p.m. Miami International Airport had four flight delays and 51 cancellations due to severe weather, spokesman Marc Henderson said. The airlines affected included American Airlines, American Eagle, Delta Airlines, and US Airways, he added.
