University School has been Broward County’s most dominant football team this season, beating all five of their opponents by at least 30 points, and it continues to be the top local team in the national rankings.

University (5-0) stayed at No. 13 in this week’s MaxPreps Xcellent 25 poll and moved up one spot to 19th in USA Today’s Top 25.

Surprisingly, the Suns fell one spot to 12th in the RivalsHigh 100 rankings despite beating Boyd Anderson 50-0 last Friday.

Quarterback Sean White threw for 437 yards and six touchdowns, including two scores to Chris Taylor, who racked up 190 receiving yards as the Suns boosted their scoring average to 50.4 points per game.  

The Suns are 17th in the latest national poll and 10th in the Student Sports Fab 50.

Miramar (5-0) moved up 13 spots this week to No. 26 in Rivals’ poll, one spot in USA Today’s poll (No. 21), and two spots in Student Sports’ (No. 16). The Patriots remained No. 22 in Max Preps’ poll.

St. Thomas Aquinas moved back into the USA Today rankings at No. 24 after falling out the week before following its home loss to Miramar. St. Thomas jumped 13 spots to No. 27 in Rivals’ poll and two spots to No. 17 in Student Sports’.

Dwyer is the lone Palm Beach County team represented in any of the five major national polls. The Panthers moved up two spots to No. 75 in this week’s Rivals rankings.
