Target is now offering a year-round price-match guarantee that includes online big-box retailers Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy and Toys R Us, the company announced Tuesday.
The new policy, tested by the Minneapolis-based retailer during the busy holiday shopping season, takes effect immediately.
The policy combines the retailer's price adjustment and competitor ad match policies for the those online retailers and also includes purchases on Target.com. If customers find an identical item online, in stores or in an ad (including local competitors) for less within seven days, Target will refund the difference.
“Guests can confidently shop at Target every day for the best value in retail,” said Gregg Steinhafel, Target Chairman, President and CEO said in a press release. “We know that our guests often compare prices online. With our new Price Match Policy and the additional five percent savings guests receive when they use their REDcard, Target provides an unbeatable value.”
